Chapter Twenty-Two

Stephanie

Nico responded instantly.

She felt more than heard his growl as he picked her up and spun her around so that she was sitting on the back of the couch. The front of it faced the door and she almost fell backward, would have, if Nico hadn’t held her tight.

“I got ya,” he rumbled, leaning in to complete the kiss she’d started a moment earlier.

Her legs parted of their own accord as he pushed in closer.

What are you doing?

The question echoed in her mind as his fingers dimpled her back, gripping tight even as she wrapped her arms around his neck, holding on to him, not wanting to let go. Something inside of her had broken loose, and it wanted nothing more than to take possession of him. To call Nico hers.

It was strong, and she wasn’t sure she could fight it. He felt too good. The heat of his body, the sizzling touch of his lip, the firmness of his muscles and the sheer unrestrained desire for her that was bubbling forth. It was too much. Her body was on fire, and only Nico could quench its thirst.

He pulled off her ill-fitting red t-shirt, slipping it off over her upraised arms. She wore nothing underneath. Nico growled his approval, his skin rough against her breasts as he grabbed them, sliding his skin over hers, running a finger in gentle circles around her nipples, teasing them until they were hard.

Stephanie gasped and shivered, feeling exposed, but when she looked up to see his eyes, suddenly she felt wanted. Desired. Needed. The carnal lust in his gaze was directed at her, and solely her. He was powered by the sight of her bare skin, and Stephanie wanted to show him more. She wanted to watch his face as he took in her entire body, drinking up the view before him.

With a snarl, Nico lifted her from the couch with one hand around her lower back. The other tugged off the rest of her clothing, letting it slide down her long, thick legs until it pooled on the floor, already forgotten as the heat from Nico’s body wrapped her up in it and tugged her in.

She shivered as he dragged his fingernails up her inner thigh, producing tiny bits of lightning that flickered throughout her body until he reached her peak where she arched back to give him access and—

Nico paused, his hand going still while he flashed her a wicked grin.

Stephanie pouted and spread her legs wider. She didn’t want him to stop. She wanted him to keep going. To touch her, taste her, to take her.

Not tease her.

Thankfully, Nico wanted the same and she didn’t have to wait long for his fingers to find the already pooling wetness between her legs. His touch was light, but his skin somewhat rough, and she shuddered in his arms as he worked her up, stirring her own furnace to life, so that it matched his.

“That feels so good,” she moaned, burying her face in his arm, teeth sinking into his flesh.
